The love of vines and wine has been passed down from father to son in our family. We have been based in Mercurey, Burgundy, since 1941. As the grandson of the founder, I now run the family estate, supported and advised by my father, Jean-Pierre.
We cultivate 11.50 hectares located on excellent terroirs in the Mercurey appellation, in the Côte Chalonnaise region.
Our village is well known for its unique soil composition and its wines with pronounced fruit notes. Mercurey has 32 plots classified as Premier Crus.
Notes
This cuvée presents a nose rich in red fruit aromas, leading to a round and silky palate with notable density . The wine's structure and balance suggest excellent aging potential.
Sommelier Notes: The wine initially presents as a juicy, fruit-forward expression of Pinot Noir. However, upon revisiting, it reveals its true varietal character with layered notes of cranberry, red and blue fruits, and subtle earthy undertones. These complexities continue to evolve in the glass, culminating in a lingering, nuanced finish. This is a remarkably well-crafted wine that overdelivers, drinking well above its price point—comparable to offerings in the $50 range.
