The 2021 Riesling Vandenberg is a gorgeous, dynamic wine full of character. Citrus peel, white flowers, green pear and lime are all very nicely delineated in a wine that marries tension with a bit of sweetness from the small amount of botrytised fruit in the blend. Aging in steel keeps the flavors bright.
Crafted by Graham Tatomer, a winemaker renowned for his expertise in crafting world-class Rieslings and Gruner Veltliners. Tatomer draws on his experience in Austria and his deep connection to California’s Central Coast. Sourced from the exceptional Vandenberg Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, this wine showcases the unique terroir of the region with cool climate influences that produce vibrant, expressive Riesling.
Notes
A beautifully layered Riesling with aromas of stone fruit, citrus blossoms, and a hint of minerality. On the palate, expect bright acidity, flavors of white peach, green apple, lime zest, and a clean, dry finish.
