Mylonas Winery Attiki Assyrtiko Greece 2023

Brothers Stamatis and Antonios Mylonas oversee this third-generation (founded 1917) self-described ‘micro-winery’, a boutique domaine of twelve hectares situated in the red clay-limestone of Keratea, Attica. Assyrtiko does well on this peninsula, influenced by the mountains, wind and the sea. This is an outstanding wine to drink year round with the capacity to pair with multiple dishes. 

Style & Character

This is a dry white wine made from 100% Assyrtiko, grown in Attiki rather than Santorini. It showcases Assyrtiko’s signature crisp acidity and minerality, but with slightly riper fruit tones thanks to the warmer mainland climate.

Wine Notes

• Aromas: Zesty citrus (lime, lemon), green apple, white flowers, and wet stone

• Palate: Crisp and refreshing, with lively acidity; flavors of citrus peel, stone fruit, and a salty mineral streak
