Established in 2002, the Massimo Rattalino winery is situated on one of Barbaresco's most prestigious hills in Italy's Langhe region.
Founder Massimo Rattalino transitioned from a different professional background to pursue his passion for viticulture, focusing primarily on Nebbiolo grapes to craft distinguished wines like Barbaresco and Barolo.
he estate spans approximately 7.5 hectares, with vineyards aged between 15 to 45 years, yielding around 6.5 tons per hectare. Emphasizing meticulous vineyard management, the winery employs the classic Guyot training system and manual harvesting to ensure high-quality grapes. Fermentation is primarily conducted in stainless steel, followed by aging in large Slavonian oak barrels, enhancing the elegance and longevity of their wines.
Wine Notes
This red starts out on the rich side, with cherry, plum, earth and tobacco flavors. Bright, firming up with lightly chewy tannins that line the finish. Drink now through 2027. 1,300 cases made, 170 cases imported. Easy drinking and approachable.
