Château Léoville Barton, situated in Bordeaux's Saint-Julien appellation, is part of the historic Léoville estate, which dates back to the 18th century. In 1826, Hugh Barton, an Irish wine merchant, acquired a portion of the estate, establishing Château Léoville Barton. Unlike many Bordeaux estates, Léoville Barton has remained in the same family for nearly 200 years, preserving its traditions and reputation.

Classified as a Deuxième Cru (Second Growth) in 1855, Léoville Barton is renowned for its powerful, structured wines made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Vinified at the nearby Château Langoa Barton, it is respected for its consistency and longevity.
