The Rolland family acquired the property in 1920 and steadily expanded its vineyard holdings, focusing on the clay and gravel soils that are ideal for Merlot.
Under Michel Rolland's guidance, Château Bon Pasteur gained a reputation for producing rich, expressive wines that combine the opulence of Pomerol with elegance and finesse. Today, the estate remains a benchmark producer, crafting wines that reflect both the character of its exceptional terroir and the family's generations of winemaking expertise.
