The Ada Nada Barbaresco Valeirano DOCG is a distinguished expression of Nebbiolo from the Valeirano cru in Treiso, Piedmont. Produced by the family-run Ada Nada winery, established in 1919 by Carlo Nada in the Rombone area of Barbaresco, the estate has been passed down through generations, with Anna Lisa and her husband Elvio currently at the helm.
The Valeirano vineyard, planted in 1971, is situated at elevations between 200 and 350 meters and features southwest-facing slopes with limestone and white marl soils . The wine undergoes a 12-day maceration in stainless steel, followed by aging in large oak casks and some barriques for 20–24 months before bottling without filtration.
Notes
Aroma: An elegant bouquet featuring forest floor, camphor, blue flowers, and fennel seed.
Palate: Juicy red cherry and pomegranate flavors are complemented by cinnamon and star anise, all supported by taut, refined tannins. The wine exhibits bright acidity, providing energy and suggesting significant aging potential .
Finish: Fresh with a savory bite, showcasing elegant, understated tannins and a refined, lingering finish .
