Bodegas Muga is a prestigious, family-owned winery in Haro, Rioja, Spain, founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga and Aurora Caño. The winery is known for its traditional winemaking methods, including fermentation in large oak vats, aging in handcrafted barrels, and the use of natural fining with egg whites.
Muga is celebrated for producing classic yet refined Rioja wines, particularly Tempranillo-based reds with balanced oak influence. Today, the third generation of the Muga family continues to uphold its legacy, making some of the region’s most respected and age-worthy wines.

The 2020 vintage showcases a vibrant ruby-red hue with moderate depth and a delicate garnet-tinged rim. The nose reveals an intense and complex profile, dominated by aromas of wild forest fruits like blackberries and blueberries, complemented by subtle spicy nuances. On the palate, it is refined, well-balanced, and elegantly structured. Its bright acidity is seamlessly integrated, accompanied by smooth tannins. The finish is remarkably long and fruit-driven.
