Perchance Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
The wine presents with a strikingly deep dark ruby color with inky purple accents, immediately followed an astonishingly inviting perfume of black cherries, cassis, plumbs, baking spice, and chocolate. The exquisite aromatics dovetail onto the palate with sumptuous and layered waves of concentrated chocolate covered blue fruits that opulently coat your mouth with a velvety symphony of silky texture and flamboyant complexities. The wine is impeccably balanced, with optimal levels of density and concentration and crescendos into a luxuriously long and graceful finish that remains with you for over 90 seconds.
Beckstoffer Georges III
300 spectacular acres in the middle of the valley floor, the Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard had its first grapes planted by Elizabeth Rutherford in 1895. Famed history flows through the veins of this historic vineyard from Georges De La Tour to Andre Tchelistcheff. In 1988 the Beckstoffer Georges III was replanted using new Cabernet Sauvignon Clones with tighter spacing and advanced trellising systems enhancing both quality and grape tonnage. The rows specific to the Perchance Estates’ blocks are positioned on slight uplifts and rolling knolls, offering better drainage, early ripening and delicious and integrated natural acidity. Wonderfully, in 2009 - 181 acres were placed under a land conservation easement that forever prohibits non-agricultural development.
