Dating back to the 18th century, the estate was originally owned by the Gazin family and passed through various hands over the centuries. It gained recognition in the 19th century for producing wines of exceptional quality. Today, Château Gazin is owned by the Noël family, who have overseen significant improvements in vineyard management and winemaking. The estate is renowned for its rich, powerful wines, primarily made from Merlot. Château Gazin continues to be one of the most respected names in Pomerol.

A very juicy and nicely chewy young red with black berry, chocolate and cedar aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with integrated tannins and a fresh and persistent finish.

Lots of spiced black cherries, currants, chocolate, and spicy notes emerge from the 2022 Château Gazin, a richer, medium to full-bodied Pomerol with plenty of mid-palate depth, building tannins, and outstanding length. The tannins will need to be watched here, but this is clearly an outstanding wine in the making.
