Chateau Marquis de Terme Margaux 2021

Château Marquis de Terme spans about 40 hectares, planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Under modern direction, the estate has focused on producing elegant, age-worthy wines with a classic Margaux character.

In 1935, the Sénéclauze family, prominent wine merchants from the south of France, purchased the estate. They have continued to invest in the vineyards and winemaking facilities.

It is classified as a Fourth Growth (Quatrième Cru Classé) in the prestigious 1855 Classification of the Médoc.

Notes

Nose:
Fresh and expressive, showing classic Margaux elegance. Aromas of crushed red berries (raspberry, red currant) mingle with violet, rose petal, and hints of graphite. Subtle undertones of cedar, tobacco leaf, and wet stone reflect the cool vintage.

Palate:
Medium-bodied with precise, silky tannins. The wine shows a bright core of red cherry, plum, and cranberry, complemented by savory notes of forest floor and dried herbs. There’s a notable freshness and linear drive, thanks to vibrant acidity and a modest alcohol level.

Finish:
Refined and persistent, with lingering notes of spice, floral tones, and a touch of minerality.
