Chateau La Conseillante Pomerol 2023

The property takes its name from Catherine Conseillan, an influential Libourne merchant who acquired the estate in the 1700s and expanded its vineyards, giving the château the feminine form of her surname. Since 1871, the estate has remained in the hands of the Nicolas family, whose five generations have continuously refined both the vineyard and winemaking while preserving its exceptional terroir.

The bouquet is intensely aromatic, revealing layers of violets, iris, black cherries, blackberries, cassis, wild blueberries, and ripe plums, accented by notes of dark chocolate, licorice, graphite, tobacco, crushed stone, and exotic spice. On the palate, the wine is silky and refined, with vibrant acidity, exceptionally polished tannins, and a mineral-driven core that delivers both richness and freshness. Despite its opulent fruit, the wine remains poised and graceful, finishing with outstanding length, floral lift, and remarkable energy.
