Founded in 1970 by Jean-Jacques Mélinand, starting with just a 4-hectare parcel in the esteemed Clos du Pavillon in Fleurie. Mathieu Mélinand, Jean-Jacques’ son, took the reins in 2008, marking a new era for the domaine.
The wines from Domaine des Marrans are celebrated for their naïve purity, floral energy, and defined mineral texture—hallmarks of the crystalline granite soils of Fleurie.
Mathieu has garnered acclaim for elevating the domaine’s profile, transforming it from a small family property into one of the standout estates in Beaujolais’ Cru system.

Notes
Nose: Energetic, mineral-accented aromas of fresh-picked red berries, smoked meat, blood orange, with a hint of allspice.
Palate: Silky, juicy, and layered—think red currant, Bing cherry, boysenberry, and fresh black pepper. A succulent, lifted wine that’s endlessly charming yet complex.
