This achievement was years in the making, beginning in the late 1990s when founder Toni Sarrion embarked on a solo mission to revive the indigenous Bobal grape, transforming it from a rustic, overlooked variety into a contender for world-class wines. Committed to evolving quality, Mustiguillo has shifted away from prominent American oak used in earlier vintages, now favoring concrete and French oak to create wines of finesse and balance, showcasing the full potential of Bobal from the unique terroir of El Terrerazo.

The red 2021 Mestizaje Tinto was produced with a blend of 75% Bobal, 15% Garnacha and 10% Syrah. It has 13.5% alcohol and kept good balance and freshness. It matured in a combination of oak vats and barriques for one year. It's quite classical, serious, balanced and fresh, with a certain complexity, Mediterranean with elegance.

A blend of 75% Bobal, 15% Garnacha, and 10% Syrah. A complex bouquet featuring ripe red and black fruits like cherries, blackberries, and plums. Subtle floral aromas of violet are complemented by spicy notes of clove, black pepper, and a touch of vanilla from oak aging.  Medium to full-bodied with a velvety texture. Flavors of ripe black fruits are layered with hints of cocoa, licorice, and a savory undertone of Mediterranean herbs. The oak is well-integrated, adding a touch of creaminess without overpowering the fruit.
