The Silvio Grasso company was founded in 1927 but it was only in the mid-1980s that Alessio Federico (current owner), who took over from his father Silvio, began to bottle the entire production.
The company has 14 hectares of which 6 are owned and 8 are rented and is family-run with his wife Marilena and sons Paolo and Silvio.

On the nose...excellent, nutty red-fruits aromas that transitions into a medium-bodied texture with well integrated tannis and lingering finish. This wine has some complexity and fineness for this vintage. Drink now, or hold for 10 years.
