Domaine Saint Germain Saint-Bris "La Canne" Sauvignon Blanc 2020
The only appellation in Burgundy that makes 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Saint Bris AOC is just a short drive from Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume, an area that bridges the Loire Valley and Burgundy together. Therefore it makes sense to plant Sauvignon Blanc here on the limestone plateau, giving the wine incomparable aromatic power. Sauvignon Blanc lovers must try this wine.
It is on the occasion of the grape harvest in 1981 that Christophe FERRARI falls in love with the noble profession of wine- grower. He finished his studies and in 1987 and moved to IRANCY as a young winemaker. From then on, this passion will not leave him anymore. Unable to benefit from a family heritage, he works to bring together two small aging farms. Christophe FERRARI currently operates 14 hectares of vineyards in IRANCY SAINT-BRIS and CHABLIS. Concerned about the quality of his wines, Christophe knew how to preserve the traditional methods of vinification like the aging in oak barrels, by associating modern techniques favorable to the improvement of the quality and the hygiene of the wine.
Since 2013, Christophe's son Nicolas has joined the team to learn from his father. Winner of the Young Talent's Trophy in 2017.
Characterized by an expressive nose and perfumed notes of citrus, green pineapple, lychee and floral with a lively fresh and delicate mouthfeel chiseled at the attack and with a persistent creaminess on the finish. Perfect as an aperitif or with seafood platter and fresh goat's cheese.
