Wine Notes
El Jefe “Grande” is a one liter bottle of Tempranillo produced from a single estate in Castilla y Leon (Zamorra) just south of Toro. The family has been growing grapes in this region for three generations. Unoaked, they tie their harvest and ferment in breathable cement tanks to express the natural strength, sinewy agility, balance and fresh nature of Tempranillo of the area.
Pairs well with Fish, Spicy Food, Pizza, Burgers. A Great Party Wine. 100% Tempranillo. Alc. 12.5%.
Vineyard Notes
Sourced from a single family estate in the northern table lands “ La Meseta”, the elevated, high plains desert of Castilla y Leon. North of the ancient city of Salamance and just south of the region of Toro.
Winemaking Notes
Trellised vines farmed in the south facing sloping vineyard located within a mountain bowl. Farmed naturally without any chemicals, but just enough water to keep the wine juicy. Harvested earlier for freshness and expression of fruit.
