The appellation 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is a killer value that should be snatched up by readers. Ripe black fruits, roasted herbs, chocolate, and some spicy wood define the bouquet and it s full-bodied, has fine tannins, a glossy, layered texture, and outstanding length. It certainly has a modern edge, but is impeccably made. Enjoy bottles over the coming decade.

Turnbull has been turning out some terrific wines in recent years, and the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is not only excellent, but it also represents a great value. Hints of cedar and vanilla accent cassis and black cherries on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is plush up front, then turns firmer on the lingering finish.

Vintage Notes
2021 marks another near-perfect vintage for Napa Valley. Early bud break led to a calm and steady growing season, which allowed for even ripening and generous hang time on vine. Lower yields due to drought brought about a true "winemaker's vintage," allowing for more time and attention to each lot. The resulting wines are aromatically rich, full bodied, concentrated in flavor, and perfectly age-worthy.

Wine Notes
Notes of dusted blackberries, plum and cherry lead to a back-drift of toast and fleeting tobacco. Supple creamy tannins widen the dark fruit midpalate, lending to a lifted and layered finish. This wine widens and rises in amplitude and velocity with elegance and balance, showcasing the incredible beauty of the 2021 vintage.
