A true Pinot lover will appreciate this. Patricia Green Cellars is located in the Ribbon Ridge Appellation of the Willamette Valley on a 52 acre estate purchased in 2000 by Patty Green and Jim Anderson. The winery, and thus the two friends and business partners, are noted for producing a tremendously broad selection of Pinot Noirs from several vineyards representing some of the better sites in the Willamette Valley with a particular emphasis over the years on Ribbon Ridge, Dundee Hills and the Chehalem Mountains appellations. Patricia Green cellars focus is to produce Pinot Noirs that show the distinct characteristics of the sites and vintage within the context of the wines.

The Reserve wine comes from 8 different Pinot Noir vineyards which typically goes into their single vineyard designated bottles. This bottling combines all of the unique qualities of each terrior. 75% of this comes from Ribbon Ridge and Chehalem Mountains AVAs, 15% comes from the Dundee Hills AV and the rest, while designated Willamette Valley AVA is all from Freedom Hill Vineyard. There are seriously great bones here and this wine will stand up to many, many much higher priced bottling.

Wine Notes

"Deep red. Expansive red berry and floral pastille scents and flavors show impressive energy and pick up a hint of smokiness as the wine opens up. Smooth and fleshy but lively as well; a late jolt of white pepper adds spicy bite. Generous but vibrant in character, finishing very long and sweet, with gentle tannins lending shape and subtle grip. This wine delivers exceptional bang for the buck." Antonio Galloni, Vinous. 14.2% alc. Abv.
