Jean-Francois is the third generation winemaker in his family who studied oenology in Bordeaux and Montpellier. Based in Saint-Emilion, Maison Galhaud's wines are well known in Bordeaux and world wide. Enjoy early or wait 3 to 5 years. Best with lamb, steak with mushroom sauce. 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon
With predominately Merlot grapes, this wine spend a few months in oak barrel to give it great concentration, balance and depth. The wine is powerful with red fruit aromas and toasted oak and fine tannins on the palate. You can compare it to a Saint Emilion wine any day! 13% Alc. by Volume. Pair with grilled steak, stewed meats, mushroom sauce and cheese.
