Francesco Borgogno Barolo Cru Brunate 2010
From the prestigious "cru" of Brunate, this Barolo comes from one of the best vintage of that decade. Brunate is located in the commune of La Morra, highly regarded reputation with southern exposure and excellent soils. Francesco Borgogno's vineyards are made up of calcified, caly marl. The property is has been family owned and run since 1930. Then the process of the wines transformation begins: wine-making starts in the Barolo winery with pressing and the traditional fermentation of about thirty days. The entire philosophy of our Barolo Brunate is rigorously traditional, with fairly lengthy maceration followed by long maturation of about three years in Slovenian oak for 3 years and 1 year in the bottle.
