Etienne Chere 2008 Millésime Champagne
A spectacular 2008 vintage from from the small village of Courjeonnet, Cote des Blancs. The Domaine was founded by Etienne, and now his two sons are involved with the winemaking. With only 7 ha, all harvested under "culture raisonnée" methods. This estate is located in the South of the Côte des Blancs. The vineyard is mainly spread in the village Courjeonnet, just by a small river called Le Petit Morin. The vines are facing south, where the 3 varieties are grown. Only 150 cases produced. Each vintage is unique and blended to create the best of the terrior and vintage (no addition of reserve wines). The vinification takes place in small vats of 20hl.
The Brut Millesime 2008 is 100% Chardonnay that is delicate and light with refinded nose of apple and ripe pear. Creamy with toasty notes, long finish...an unique style of the Cote des Blancs. John Gilman View from the Cellar. 12% Alc. Content. Serve as an aperitif with shellfish or grilled fish.
