Doisy-Daene Barsac Sauternes 2015 375ml
Classic sweet wines made from late harvest noble grapes from the commune of Barsac. Doisy-Daene is a Second Growth estate that was once part of Doisy-Verdrines, Doisy-Dubroca. Daene's name originated from Jean Jacques Emmanuel Daene who had owned all three vineyards. Since 1924 the property has been owned by the Dubourdieu family. 18.2 hectares planted to 86% Semillon and 14% Sauvignon Blanc.
Barsac, Sauternes are some of the world most interesting and hand crafted wines. 100% hand harvested and extremely small yields to ensure concentration. Most of the vintages are hard to come by as winegrowers must take a chance on mother nature cooperating to produce noble rot. We are very proud to carry such an exclusive and high quality wine that is extremely under the radar.

"The 2015 Doisy-Daene has a detailed bouquet, very correct, nothing showy or flamboyant as is typical of Denis Dubourdieu's Barsac. The palate is extremely well balanced and very pure: citrus fruit infusing the honeyed botrytis, veins of white peach and quince, leading to a very precise and sustained finish that leaves you with a smile on your face...and the wine ain't even finished yet! Just a wonderful wine - full of class and nascent joie-de-vivre. Chapeau Denis! " Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
