This wine is for the most discriminating of all rose drinkers. You won’t find the standard cotton-candy flaccid, high-alcohol rose here. This is a high quality rose that will send you imagination as vivid as the paintings of Vincent van Gogh.
Since 2005, the Sumeire family of Château Barbeyrolles has been farming organically (certified by Qualite-France SAS FR BIO). The family has owned the estate and made wine since 1880. Now all the wines are made by the daughter, Regine Sumeire, who has inherited the passion for wine-making from her father. “She certainly has one of the best situated estates, located on a hilly terrain within view of one of the Riviera’s legendary spots, the fishing village and hangout for artists and high society, St Tropez. All grapes were harvested by hand, sorted, not de-stemmed and directly loaded into the press without crushing. The grapes were lightly pressed to obtain optimum delicacy and fragrance. Wines ferment in temperature controlled stainless steel, gravity-fed. Wine goes thru malolactic fermentation.

The color of this wine is a clear medium salmon with beautiful aroma of floral, herbs, and strawberries. Dry and medium bodied, this rose displays fresh red fruit, wild herbs, and mild spice with a long finish. The grapes are handpicked, sorted and directly loaded into the press to minimize stress and to obtain delicacy. Provencal foods makes this Provencal wine come alive. Pair with Bouillabaisse, Sea Bass, Monk Fish, and Brandade. 13.5% Alc. Content. Organic.
