Gorgeous nose, pineapple, passionfruit and mandarin - smells so expressive. Fully flavoured on the palate, this is a rich and heady wine filled with fruit and texture. The frame is large and structured and given spicy edges from the wood ageing. Feels round and alive. Still very youthful with bright lemon, grapefruit and mango touches. Despite its power and concentration it's polished and quite charming with precision and clarity on show. Tasted twice. 3.17pH.

The 2019 Château Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is brilliant, offering a racy, vibrant, yet concentrated style in its bright citrus, honeyed grapefruit, lime, and mandarin orange-like aromas and flavors. Incredibly complex aromatically, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a rich, layered, yet precise texture, good acidity, and a great finish. It's beautifully done and well worth seeking out. I can't imagine it not evolving for over a decade.

The 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is incredibly distinctive, and delicious, too. Lemon confit, passionfruit, mint, jasmine and tropical accents are beautifully delineated in a creamy, layered Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon blend that is so alluring. The 30% Sémillon comes through loud and clear in the wine's textural feel.

Full-bodied, satiny and sensual, it's rich and enveloping, with a layered core of fruit and a long, resonant finish. Bottled under Diam 10, this is a riper, more dramatically styled white Bordeaux.
