Chateau de Gironville Haut-Medoc 2019 Sustainable 90-92 JD
Unique left bank Bordeaux wine at 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Chateau de Gironville is owned by the same owners of Chateau Belle-Vue. The properties are just 5 minutes from one another and not far from the southern tip of Margaux.
The summer heatwave, with only 65 mm of rainfall between the 15th of June and the 8th of September 2019, drove to the picking up of very sound grapes, quite small but wih an amazing aromatic taste. Harvest was held between the 26th of September and the 18th of October which allowed plenty of time for each parcel to reach its perfect maturity.
Patience has been our key word all along the harvesting process.

WINE NOTES
"The 2019 Château De Gironville comes from a tiny 5-hectare vineyard planted all to Cabernet Sauvignon. Raised in 10% new French oak, it has a wonderfully spicy, expressive bouquet of black raspberries, redcurrants, tobacco, chocolate, and baking spices. Yields were a minuscule 31 hectoliters per hectare and it shows on the palate, with good concentration, medium to full body, ripe tannins, and a beautiful finish. It's going to shine for a solid decade." Jeb Dunnuck 14% Alc.
