Chateau de Beaupré "Collections" Provence Red 2009
A unique blend of Cabernet and Syrah is captured in this bottle from Provence. We bring you the top of the line collection from the Château. This red wine is part of the magnificent history at the Beaupré estate dating back to 1739, with the Château building that is still there today. In 1890, Baron Emile Double, great-grandfather of the current owner, planted the first vines at Beaupré.
Today, Baron Maxime Double continues the tradition of producing a cuvée "collection" of red wine that is specially made using grapes from the oldest vines. All the juice is fermentated on the skins in oak casks from the property's own oak trees. The cultivation is made without chemical fertilizers or weed killers. Everything at the estate is cultivated using sustainable manner with respect to the environment. The average age of the vines for the "Collection" is 25 years on east-west facing hillside in clay and chalky soil.
