Chateau Belle-Vue Haut Medoc 2018 Sustainable

  • 2499

Made from average of 39 year old vines in the Macau region of Bordeaux, surrounded by Grand Cru Classe estates. Considered one of the best Medoc's Cru Bourgeois, due to its deep gravel soils and consistency in the wine's balance and finesse. Ch. Belle-Vue is a 15-hectare estate in the Haut-Médoc appellation, just south of some top Margaux estates and next to Ch. Giscours. As of the 2018 vintage, it is classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, the top tier of that classification.

JS 92

48% Cabernet Sauvignon , 30% Merlot : 30%, 20% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc, 1% Carmenere. in 30% new barrels for 14 months.

WINE NOTES

With a blend that has an unusual 18% Petit Verdot, this wine is dark in color and firm, with big black-fruit flavors. It is rich, intense and full of tannins that indicate great aging potential. This powerful wine is likely to be ready from 2025. Roger Voss
