Prioprietor Selected Special Cuvee from Elizabeth Spencer. A husband and wife team, Spencer Graham and Elizabeth Pressler have been making wine together since 1997. Elizabeth started working her way in the restaurant industry as a sommelier, pursued the wine industry career at Chalk Hill Winery, Eisele, and Hess just to name a few. Graham was born in Vienna, grew up in Brazil and also started as a sommelier in a restaurant. Both had the first date at the famous French Laundry restaurant in Napa and decided to make Napa their home. Combining their back ground in food and love of wine, Elizabeth and Graham created Elizabeth Spencer to be partners in life and partners in wine.
Elizabeth Spencer aspires to make wines that are delicious to drink, elegant, refined and balance. This wine is a their nod to Rhone Valley. The winemaker was able to capture the freshness, juicy snap and stony vigor of Grenache.
Aged in 7 months of neutral oak and stainless steel to capture the freshness and brightness of the fruit. This wine delivers exotic aromas of ripe strawberry, spicy red currant and bing cherry in addition to a nice medium body texture. Well balanced and great partner at the table. Can be served slightly chilled on a warm summer evening or pair with fall dishes. 14.5% Alc. Content.
