Bernard Magrez is the owner of prestigous Bordeaux grand crus such as Chateau Pape Clement, Chateau La Tour Carnet and Chateau Fombrauge just to name a few. Winemaker Benoit Touquette is the French rising star in Napa. His projects include Screaming Eagle, Ovid, Realm Cellars and Kata.
Dr. Crane Vineyard was originally planted in 1858 by Napa Valley pioneer Dr. George Belden Crane. It was acquired by Beckstoffer Vineyards in 1997. The 25 acres located in St. Helena is planted to the prestigious grape Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes from any Beckstoffer vineyards are considered among the finest available in California. All hand harvested at night. Aged in French oak for 18 months.

Despite its French influence, this is a true California Cabernet at its finest. Concentrated, fruit forward with balanced dark cherry, plum, smoke and oak. Sweet French oak layers with hints of leather, mocha and silky smooth tannins.
