Comte Senard Corton Clos des Meix Grand Cru Monopole Pinot Noir 2018 Sustainable

  • 18499

Nestled in the heart of the Burgundy vineyard, Domaine Comte Senard is located in the small village of Aloxe-Corton, famous for its Grands Crus and where vines have been cultivated for millennia.

In 1857, Jules Senard, great-grandfather of Count Senard, created the Domaine's monopoly: the "Corton Clos des Meix". Climat with an area of 2.5 hectares, it has been the Domaine's Signature Grand Cru since that time.

Over the years, the acquisition of prestigious appellations, such as Corton "Paulands", Corton "Bressandes" or even Corton "Clos du Roi", increases the notoriety of Domaine Comte Senard, which currently extends on 10 acres.

Philippe Senard, who unfortunately left us in 2021, presided over the destinies of the Domaine since 1971 and personally ensured the vinification.
Lorraine Senard, his daughter, 5th generation of the Family, was able to confirm his talents as a winemaker and succeeded him in 2005, drawing inspiration from previous generations in order to preserve the "Spirit of Corton".

The Estate’s “Monopole” (exclusive production) exposed full south and bordering on the Charlemagne area. Distinguished and flattering. The most pleasant of all the Cortons when young.

 WINE NOTES

Deep ruby color. Delicate and finessed with silky tannins and beautiful harmonies with the oak aging. Only 333 cases produced.
