Aromas of earth, flowers, and wool. Fuller bodied than the Anjou, with a core minerality of sea spray and smoke. Challenging wine as Savennières, but ultimately fascinating. Aged in sandstone amphora and 30-hectoliter foudre.

Family vineyard of 9 ha, owned by the Roussier family in Savennières. We have been cultivating this area since the 1992 harvest. With nearly 6 ha of chenin and just over 3 ha in cabernet, Coulaine has been asserting itself for several generations as the Savennières vineyard with the most red wines
