Adelaida Cellars have been known to craft wines that will hold your interest and engage your taste buds. They are also committed to producing wines from estate vineyards. Named after a 19th-century settlement in the mountains west of Paso Robles, Adelaida Cellars have been family owned and operated since 1970s by the Van Steenwyk. Owners Don and Elizabeth Van Steenwyk were formerly succesful in cultivating dry-farm almonds in the Paso Robles area before getting involved with grapes.

Anna's estate includes 48 acres of mountainous terrain placed along a steep south facing ridge in Paso Roble's Adelaida District.  At 14 miles from the Pacific Ocean, the afternoon marine air flow accentuates a dramatic 40-50 degree diurnal temperature cool down. The white varieties lie at the lowest point of the vineyard, 1,595 feet, which promotes a pooling of the cool air. All vines, on drip, are planted on lime tolerant rootstock using a vertical shoot training system.

Wine Notes

Aromas of dried apricot, honeysuckle, lemon peel and peach makes this an attractive wine to pair with all types of food. On the palate this wine is round with flavors of peach, honey and a touch of vanilla and oak spices. 14.9% Alc. Content. Pair with trout almandine in brown butter, seared scallops, shrimp gazpacho, or prosciutto wrapped melon.
