Chateau Peyrat-Fourthon Haut-Medoc 2019
In the late 18th century, Peyrat-Fourthon was a well known hunting lodge. The mayor of Gironde was the first to start grape cultivation on the estate in 1894 and landing the estate on the "Cassini" vineyard map in the 18th century. Then in 1932, Chateau Peyrat-Fourthon was named as a Cru Bourgeois estate in the first classification of the Cru.
With just a few exchanges of ownership, the Narboni family purchased the Chateau in 2004, expanding the property to 22ha in one contiguous piece. After a decade or more of innovation and improvements at the property, the Chateau became a Cru Bourgeois Superior in the 2020 Classification of Cru Bougeois du Medoc.
Floral and spicy, fruity and fresh, this medium-bodied, easy-drinking charmer leaves you with lifted red fruits in a soft, juicy red berry finish.
