Felino Mendoza Malbec 2018
Felino is inspired by winemaker Paul Hobbs to make world class quality wines from Argentina. Paul is better known for his namesake winery in the Russian River Valley, however his talent has taken him to the vineyards in Mendoza, Argentina. Over the past twenty years, Hobbs and his team at Viña Cobos have dedicated themselves to seek out, study, and develop vineyard sites in the two premier growing regions of Mendoza: Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco.
Felino is hand harvested and made from 100% Malbec. The vineyards are located between 2,306 and 3,927 feet in altitude in a semi-desert like climate. Much of the vineyards are fed by the snow melt of the Andes by the Mendoza River. Fermented with select and native yeast in stainless steel tanks and aged in American oak (10% new) for 8 months.
