Crus Bourgeois is a classification earned by Médoc châteaux that produce wines of typicity and quality. To be classified as a Cru Bourgeois estate and to carry the "CB" symbol of quality, wines must pass an annual qualitative selection procedure. This particular Chateau is situated in the commune of Bégadan, just a short distance from the Gironde River, benefiting from sandy, gravely and clay-limestone soil. Chateau Bagadanet dates back to 1850, and was included in the first 1932 Cru Bourgeois classification. Currently the Figerou Family owns and manages the property.
