Andrew Will Yakima Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Consistently praised as one of the best examples of Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington state. Andrew Will's wine will over deliver with exceptional structure and finesse. Father and Son, Chris and Will Camarda are joint winemakers at the winery on Vashon Island Washington.
Andrew Will Winery has always had a focus on creating wines with a sense of place. Since the first vintage in 1989, Chris Camarda has been labeling his wines with the vineyard name on the front label to establish a sense of place from the different vineyards across Washington State. He believes that each vineyard that he works with has unique attributes that set them apart from each other.
Two Blondes Vineyard is their estate vineyard located in Zillah, Washington just outside of Yakima. The 30 acre vineyard is named after his late wife Annie and their business partner's wife Melody, both are blonde. This is the coolest site they work with and the soils are a complex mix of silty loams formed in a silty loess eolian mantle over a lime-silica-cemented durpan.

"The 2018 Two Blondes Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon offers layers of complexity on the nose, with a delicate and delightful balance between subtle green, herbal notes and dusty red fruit tones. Medium to full-bodied, the mouthfeel is food-friendly with succulent acidity and balanced tannins. The wine offers flavors of roasted red bell pepper, black raspberry, roasted plums and blackberry reduction, ending with a solid and delightfully lingering finish. The wine rested for 22 months in French oak, 25% new. Over 4,100 bottles were made, and this is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2022. For this price, buy four bottles."
